Folic acid (also known as vitamin B9 or folates) is present in the form of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (source: Quatrefolic®), a directly active form of folic acid that is highly assimilated by all women, unlike synthetic folic acid, which must first be transformed to be assimilated by the body. Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status increases the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The beneficial effect is obtained in women of childbearing age by consuming 400 μg of folic acid per day, at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal functioning of the nervous system. It also contributes to normal red blood cell formation and plays a role in the process of cell division.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus, and to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin D is only partially provided by food (mainly cod liver oil, eggs, butter, and oily fish). It is mainly synthesized in the skin under the influence of optimal sun exposure. Vitamin D intake may therefore be insufficient.
Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. Thyroid hormones play a key role in our body, particularly in the proper development and functioning of the nervous system.
The mother's consumption of docosahexaenoic acid ( DHA ) contributes to the normal development of the fetus's eyes and brain. The beneficial effect is achieved by consuming 200 mg of DHA daily, in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, which is 250 mg of DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids found in nerve cell membranes and in brain regions. These brain regions are involved in memory, learning, and vision. Since the human body cannot produce them, your baby depends directly on your reserves.
Ingredients : Omega 3 fish oil (docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)), capsule shell (bovine gelatin, humectant: glycerol, color: black iron oxide), lutein (FloraGLO®) (lutein, zeaxanthin), thickener: yellow beeswax, DL-alpha acetate, tocopheryl (vitamin E), nicotinamide (vitamin B3), sunflower oil, zinc oxide (zinc), calcium D-pantothenate (vitamin B5), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), emulsifier: lecithin, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1), [6S]-5-methyl-tetrahydrofolic acid as glucosamine salt (Quatrefolic®) (folic acid), cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), potassium iodate (iodine), sodium selenite (selenium).
